DHT basically bind to specific hormone receptors present in hair follicles. Thus creating the environment to brief the hair growth cycles as well as hair that are thin and shorter.

So if a person will have a less hair growth, then more hair will be falling out to replace them. So this can create a situation of over fall and then hair loss.
