This term vitamin U was introduced when cabbage juice compounds were discovered. This is not a true vitamin but are derivative of amino acid which is called methionine. With basic and common name as vitamin U various supplements are available. Naturally it is available in various foods such as cabbage, broccoli, Brussels sprouts and kale.
