Goat milk, know every aspect of it whether it is beneficial as much claimed !
Goat milk is another one of the most used variety of milk all around the world. Around 65% of worlds population drink goat’s milk. There are several claimed health benefits that intend to choose goat milk over cow or buffalos milk.
One of the most common is it is difficult to digest traditional cow’s milk and will prefer to try out other animal based milks.
1. It’s an estimation that about 8 ounce of goat milk contain 170 calories. Further these calories are divided into 9 grams of protein, 10 grams of fat, 11 grams of carbohydrates. Talking about calcium content, it contains about 330 mg of calcium.
2. Several researches and studies reveal that goat milk may enhance the bodies ability to absorb important nutrients. One of the most prominent, another reason that some people choose goat’s milk is regarding digestion. Although all animal derived milk contains some lactose content. But goat milk contains slightly lower amount of lactose content. It’s an estimation that goat milk will contain about 12% less lactose content than normal cow or buffalo milk.
3. So people with my lactose intolerance, will go for goat milk for good digestive health.
4. Another reason that makes goat milk preferable more than cow milk is its prebiotic carbohydrates. These form of carbohydrates help in nourishing the beneficial bacteria living in our gut. Thus, subsequently improving digestion.
5. Most of the carbohydrate content of goats milk comes from naturally occurring lactose. But in cases of certain lactose free milks. The main source of carbohydrate content is glucose and galactose. These both compounds may have their impacts on blood sugar levels.
Although goat milk is not so much common in most parts of the world. But opting for goat milk than other milk options may be beneficial. It will offer a huge amount of nutrients and in some cases more then regular cow milk.
But the thing is people who have a total lactose intolerance should avoid any type of animal based milk. But some of the people also have mild lactose intolerance they can easily opt for goat milk if they do not want to switch for plant based milks.
