Know exactly about Pfizer COVID19 vaccine and it’s efficiency !

Recently the UK Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) gave approval to Pfizer and BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine. This created a Ray of hope for India also.

It is the first vaccine despite of Russian and Chinese vaccinations used only inside there nations. Currently this vaccine by Pfizer is under observation and first vaccination will take place on December 10, 2020. Currently, word is battling with deadly disease because of Corona virus. According to health authorities, more than 1.4 million people worldwide have died because of COVID19.

• The efficiency of vaccine.

During the clinical trials of this COVID-19 vaccine by Pfizer and BioNTech it was considered quite efficient at Phase 3 trials, when people were randomly assigned to receive two doses of this vaccine. After the seven days of 2nd Dose, the vaccine showed an efficiency of about 95%.

But till now this is not proven by any independent lab. It is a claim by the parent company. This makes this vaccine the highest capable efficiency, as the previous developed vaccinations by China and Russia were having only 87% efficiency. That too, in some of the cases.

Although quite promising and positive results have been claimed by the parent companies. But several health experts reveal that there is not enough amount of data released by the parent companies. Moreover, the efficiency rate is based in their private lab reports.

The actual efficiency of vaccine will only be revealed after the first vaccination results arrive.

• When can we estimate this vaccination in India ?

As only one day is left, for the first dose of vaccination of this vaccine developed by Pfizer and BioNTech. It is estimated an expected that USA, will only take orders and export the vaccine to other countries. When the results of first vaccination will arrive and be successful and without any severe side effects.

Currently India is the second most populated country in the world, this makes it the priority to vaccination. Moreover, currently Indian government have good relations with government of United States. Expectations are that these diplomatic relations will surely help in bringing vaccination as early as possible.

Health experts and scientists are expecting this vaccine by Pfizer around early 2021. As Indian government had already announced, the first vaccination will take place of frontline workers and doctors.

So just keep hope and pray for soon arrival of a proper vaccine.
